1 cup panko bread crumbs
1 cup egg wash
5-6 lemon fish fillets
2 tbsp lemon juice
salt as per taste
50 gms of butter
3-4 tbsp olive oil
1 whole garlic – crushed
2 green chilies
1 tbsp plain flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup cream
1 tbsp Green chili sauce
Finely chopped Coriander leaves for garnish.
FOR THE SAUCE
Take a saucepan and on medium heat melt your butter.
Now add the whole crushed garlic and saute for a minute or so.
After your garlic is nice and golden brown, add some lemon juice followed by finely chopped green chilies.
Add a tbsp of plain flour and saute for two minutes
Now gradually add a cup of milk and keep on stirring so that lumps aren’t formed.
Add one tbsp of green chili sauce for that little hint of spice.
Once your sauce is thickened, add a generous amount of cream and give it a good mix.
Cook it till your sauce reaches the right consistency.
FOR THE FRIED FISH
In a shallow dish, add your Panko bread crumbs.
In another shallow dish add 2 beaten eggs.
Dip the fish fillets in the egg wash then place it in the bread crumb mixture and coat each piece well, once at a time.
In a frypan heat some oil followed by some butter. Fry the fish, several at a time until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
Pour your hot dripping butter garlic sauce over the crispy fried lemon fish and garnish with some finely chopped coriander and lemon slices.
